In 2009, Karan started his acting career with the television show Love Ne Mila Di Jodi, where he played the role of Sameer Saxena. In the next year, he played the role of Shantanu Khandelwal in the television show Rang Badalti Odhani. But Karan got the fame for portraying the role of Viren Singh Vadhera in the popular television show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai in 2011. For this role, he won an award at the Star Parivaar Awards in 2012. After that, he made a Guest appearance in a few television shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?
