Story/plot
The protagonist of a popular series of mystery books is Kay Scarpetta, a stunning and intelligent forensic pathologist. She uses cutting-edge forensic technology to investigate crimes and solve riddles, drawing inspiration from retired Virginia Chief Medical Examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro, MD.
